Matt Dunn was born and raised in the Pocono Mountains of Northeast Pennsylvania where he's always looked to the sky for adventure.

He graduated from Wallenpaupack Area High School as a consistent member of the National Honor Society and a four time "All State" performer in Cross Country, Track and Field. He accepted an athletic scholarship to Georgetown Unversity in Washington, DC where he helped lead their Cross Country and Track teams to 11 Big East Championships and several IC4A Championships, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 2001.

Matt began his flying career at Republic Airport shortly thereafter and received his Private, Instrument, Multi-Engine, and Commercial ratings there. Matt received his Multi-Engine and Commercial Rating with the minimal required 250 hours.
